Animal surrenders are done by appointment only and are subject to space availability.

- Dogs six months to five years: $100
- Dogs over five years: $50
- Dogs at the shelter longer than 2 months: $25
- Big Black Dogs over 6 months old: $25
- Cats up to age five: $70
- Cats over age five: $35
- Cats at the shelter longer than 2 months: $25

It is the highest priority of ACAPL to adopt out healthy and behaviorally sound animals in our community. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals that need our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while still generating necessary income to support our mission. Because we are a nonprofit organization, donations subsidize the gap between the cost for care and the adoption fee.
