Who We Are
The Ashtabula County Animal Protective League
is a volunteer-based organization.
Our staff consists of eight people who are charged primarily with the responsibility of caring for the more than 150 animals in our facility.
Staff and budget limitations make it impossible to field the numerous telephone, email, and USPS inquiries so if you are interested in adopting, please come for a visit and say hello during business hours.
We would be more than happy to answer any questions in person that you may have about a particular available pet.

FOR THE REST OF THE MONTH OF MAY: All currently fixed (spay/neutered) dogs and cats have a special "Month of May" Adoption Fee of $25.00 for the rest of the month. *Ashtabula County residents must purchase the county dog license for an additional $10.00 fee. Puppies are excluded.
The following dogs qualify for the May special: Davey, LornaDoone, Hitch, Charlie, Bliss, Raleigh, Simone, Steve, Goodwin, Nicki, Avvi, Wyatt, Mikey, Josie, BayBay, Tempest, Jasmine, Sloan, Hightower, George, Murphy, Lucy, Buddy, Mandy, Lionel, Duddits, Thelma, Casey, Cooper, Annie and Diesal. *Nicki and Avvi are bonded and we would like to see them adopted together.
The following cats qualify for the special: Alt, Ace, Nirvana, Esma, Gail, Oreo, Maverick, Midnight, Patches, Lilly, Pierce, Moonshadow, Rena, Adam, Aimee and Brandi. *Alt and Ace - and - Adam and Rena are bonded litermates and we would like to see them adopted together.
