FOSTER

Fosters are critical to our animals and the success of our mission at ACAPL. Foster homes help us save more lives by providing temporary, in-home care for dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and even exotic animals that need to heal, mature, and socialize prior to finding a home. Foster homes free up kennel and cage space for the ACAPL which gives us the ability to help more animals. ACAPL medical staff coordinates all required vaccinations and surgeries while pets are in foster care.

Foster Requirements

To become a foster at ACAPL:
  • Complete an application
  • A member of our team will reach out to you to discuss the foster process
  • If you are a match for a pet needing foster care, we will send you with the pet an all needed supplies
We are actively recruiting volunteers to support our growing foster program. No experience is required to become a foster, and all training, materials, and support resources are provided. Fosters help in a variety of ways, on a short-term or long-term basis. Certain restrictions apply.
